Description	:	Audrey Lucille (Ault) Smith, 83, of Accident, MD and most recently of Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home, Oakland, MD, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at WVU Hospice Care in Morgantown, WV. Born June 14, 1937, in Accident, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Helen (Miller) Ault. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Melvin E. Born June 14, 1937, in Accident, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Helen (Miller) Ault. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Melvin E. Smith, whom she married August 27, 1955, her only daughter Michaela A. Minnick; grandson, Jerod L. Minnick and his wife, Kimberly A. (Garlitz) Minnick; granddaughter-in-law, Teresa M. (Knox) Minnick and a brother-in-law, Cecil Campbell. Audrey was a graduate of Northern Garrett High School, class of 1955. She had many jobs throughout her life but her favorite was waiting on the many customers at the McHenry BFS Service Station. She loved crocheting and embroidering and making Christmas cookies for her close family, which she would start mixing dough in October. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Accident. She is survived by her son-in-law, Steven T. Minnick; granddaughter, Heather M. Minnick; grandson, Michael S. Minnick and fiancée, Katie M. Steyer; two great-granddaughters, Alicia K. Minnick and Cheyenne L. Garrett, all of Accident; four sisters, Janet Campbell, Cleveland, OH; Lorna (Gene) Dixon, St. Paul, MN; Gladys (Neal) Wilhide, Keymor, MD; Patricia (Larry) Foley, McHenry, MD. The family would like to thank the nursing staff of Dennett Road Manor for the exceptional care of Audrey during her stay there. A graveside service will be conducted in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery on Friday, November 20, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Benjamin Hertel officiating. Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, MD, is assisting the family with arrangements.
