Description	:	August Arnold Reese August Arnold Reese was born Nov.11, 1896 near Colmbus, Platte County, Nebr., to William and Emma Loseke Reese. The family moved to the Poole community, Buffalo county, in 1905, he attended public and parochial schools near the family home. August was confirmed in St. John's Lutheran Church, Poole, Nebr. on March 20, 1910. He grew up in the community and married Clara Buchmann, April 27, 1919. Clara passed away March 14, 1920. Read More	August Arnold Reese August Arnold Reese was born Nov.11, 1896 near Colmbus, Platte County, Nebr., to William and Emma Loseke Reese. The family moved to the Poole community, Buffalo county, in 1905, he attended public and parochial schools near the family home. August was confirmed in St. John's Lutheran Church, Poole, Nebr. on March 20, 1910. He grew up in the community and married Clara Buchmann, April 27, 1919. Clara passed away March 14, 1920. August worked in a garage in Poole in the early twenties, working on farms near Davenport, Iowa, during the depression years 1930-1942. He returned to his home on the farm and began farming for himself. September 9, 1947, he married Melba Nurton Noon of Cawker City, Kansas in the NorthShelton Lutheran Church, Shelton, Nebr. They lived in the Poole community until Nov. 11, 1963 when he retired to Ravenna, Nebraska to a home he built. He was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ravenna, Nebr. Survivors include his widow Melba; two step-sons, Wilbur Noon of Helena, Mont., Charles Noon of Cawker City, Kansas,; a step-daughter Charlotte Pearson of Wichita, Kansas,; three sisters Mrs. Alvina Fiedler Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Freida Jochem, Billings, Mont., and Mrs. Elsie Buchmann, Kearney, Nebr. He was proceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. August passed away on March 20,1977 in the nursing home in Ravenna, Nebr. Services were held Wednesday March 23 at 10 a.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ravenna with the Rev. Thomas Johnston officiating. Burail was held in the St. John's Cemetery, Pleasanton, Nebr.
