Description	:	DIED: Tuesday, Sept. 11th, 1894, at 5:45 p.m., August Berstrand. The deceased was born in Sweden September 22nd, 1847, and was 47 years, 11 months and 10 days old. He grew to manhood in Sweden, where he served an apprenticeship as a tailor. In 1873 he came to America and settled in New York, where he remained for two years and in 1875 he removed to Trenton, New Jersey. He came from New Jersey to Nebraska in 1878 and settled in Fairmont, where he has lived for 16 years, prosecuting his work as a tailor.... Read More	DIED: Tuesday, Sept. 11th, 1894, at 5:45 p.m., August Berstrand. The deceased was born in Sweden September 22nd, 1847, and was 47 years, 11 months and 10 days old. He grew to manhood in Sweden, where he served an apprenticeship as a tailor. In 1873 he came to America and settled in New York, where he remained for two years and in 1875 he removed to Trenton, New Jersey. He came from New Jersey to Nebraska in 1878 and settled in Fairmont, where he has lived for 16 years, prosecuting his work as a tailor. In the early spring of 1894 his health had so failed that he decided to make a trip to California, hoping the climatic change would produce a favorable effect, but to no avail; he only returned to die. The deceased leaves a wife, three small sons and the youngest, a little girl about 10 year of age. The funeral was held from the house Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock, conducted by Rev. A.A. Randall, and the remains were buried in the Fairmont Cemetery. Mr. Bergstrand was a good citizen and had many warm friends. The entire community sympathizes with the stricken family.
