Description	:	Parents: Carl Heinrich Friedrich Klüver, Catherina Magdalina Henrietta Stoedt Spouse: Inez Marian Doakes Augie was born on Fehmarn Island, Germany and came to America with his family in September 1904. They spent the winter in a small home in Denison, Iowa and moved to a farm in the spring near Schleswig, Iowa. They spent the winter in a small home in Denison, Iowa and moved to a farm in the spring near Schleswig, Iowa. In 1920 he married Martha Baak Munster who was killed in 1930 in a car accident near Ricketts, Iowa. Daughter Edna was in the car at the time but survived. Step-daughter Wilma was not in the car. On Nov 17, 1932 he married Inez Marion Doakes at Elk Point, S.D. They settled in at what was known as Matt Levers home; renting. On May 22, 1934 a daughter Mary Jean was born. Augie's first wife Martha had been previously married and had a child, Wilma, by that marriage. So Augie became Wilma's step-father. Then Augie and Martha had a child of their own, Edna. But then Martha was killed, leaving Augie with two daughters, one his own, and the other his wife's from her previous marriage. Then Augie married Marian, so Marian became the loving mother to Wilma and Edna. Then Marian and Augie had two children of their own, Mary and Dick. So Marian ended up mothering four children, two of whom were from two other marriages. But she did it WELL! She really became their mom. Augie seemed to hold grudges. He would not speak to his sister Dora for 30 years for some unknown offense, but they eventually made up. Nor would he speak to one of his brothers for many years because the brother's son married a Roman Catholic.
