Description	:	Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Johnson, Thenhaus, and Howser chapel for William Wenke, who died suddenly Monday morning following a heart attack. Homer Eckein was in charge of the service. William Wenke, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wenke Sr., was born in Wisconsin, April 18, 1872, and was 65 years of age at the time of his death. Homer Eckein was in charge of the service. William Wenke, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wenke Sr., was born in Wisconsin, April 18, 1872, and was 65 years of age at the time of his death. When 2 years of age, his parents came to Plattsmouth, where he grew into manhood. He was married to Miss Belle Cook Jan 4, 1900, and they continued to make their home at Plattsmouth for four years, moving then to Pierre county. The family made their home on a farm 8 1/2 miles north of Norfolk until March 1934, when they moved to their present home at Thirteenth street and Omaha avenue. Since coming here, they had operated an oil station. Mr. and Mrs. Wenke were the parents of five children, three sons and two daughters. Two sons preceded their father in death, one in infancy and the other in 1926. Surviving are his wife, a son, Wilson H. Wenke of Norfolk; and two daughters, Mrs. Opal Kennedy of Pilger and Mrs. Grace Caauwe, Norfolk. He also leaves six grandchildren, and a brother, George, of Norfolk Interment was in Prospect Hill cemetery with the following nephews as pallbearers, Glen and Ellsworth Wenke, Spencer, Harold Wenke, Burley, Ida., Edward Boedeker, Plattsmouth, Lowell Conk, Norfolk, and Dwight Cook, Gandy, Neb. Out-of-town relatives here for the services included Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wenke of Burley, Ida., Mr. and Mrs. Adam Cook and son, Dwight, Gandy, Neb.; Mr. and Mrs. Glen Wenke and family and Ellsworth Wenke, Spencer, William Klopping, Fairfax, S. D., Frank Boedeker, Council Bluffs, Edward Boedeker, Plattsmouth, and Mrs. Kennedy, Pilger. Memorial managed by 9th cousin
