Description	:	FINAL RITES HERE FOR AUREL KENDALL Funeral services for Mrs. Aurel O. Kendall were held Monday, August 1, 1966 at 2:00 p.m. from the Methodist Church with Dennis Neal officiating. Pall bearers included Wade Scholey, Marlin Gunderman, Virgil Hayes, Frederick Fisher, Walter Kendrick, and Wayne Spencer. Flower bearers were Mervin and Nadine Narigon, Eunice VanValkenburg, and Aurdie Rubin. Mrs. Mabel Dunn accompanied Mrs. Frances Gray in the following selections, “The Lord’s Prayer” and “Beyond The Sunset.” Concluding services and interment was in the Villisca Cemetery with Sutphen Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Aurel Opal Narigon, daughter of William Narigon and Mae Cholula Ashore was born June 10, 1909 in Nodaway, Adams County, Iowa. She spent her entire life in the Nodaway and Villisca vicinity, except for six years spent in Fortescue, Missouri. She ws a graduate of the Villisca High School in January 23, 1932, and was married to Cass B Kendall, who preceded her in death on April 4, 1964. At the time of her death she was employed at the Green Lantern Cafe. At an early age she was united with the Presbyterian Church at Nodaway and later transferred to the Methodist Church in Villisca. Aurel loved people and people must have loved her as she received over two hundred birthday cards recently for her birthday. She is survived by two sisters, three brothers; Mrs. Floral Murphy of Villisca; Mrs. Jessie Kapple of Burlington; Jack Narigon of Ft. Madison; Dwaine Narigon of Villisca; and Kenneth Narigon of ElMonte, California; and nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends who were always near to help her in her last sickness.
