He married Katherine - (last name unknown). They had eight children. Among them Nicholas born Feb. 1660, Nicholas married Johanna Rockwood Nov. 1684. They had nine children. One named Nicholas born June 1687. Nicholas became deacon of the Baptist Church at Bellingham, Mass. He married Elizabeth Staples. They had twelve children. He married Martha Ballou, a descendant of a French family of Huguenots who fled France about 1615 to England and to America in 1645. Among their eleven children was Nathaniel born April 1748. He married Amey Whipple. Among their eight children was Esek born Dec. 1768. Esek married Thankful Whipple, a cousin of Esek's mother. An ancestor of Thankful, Richard Warren came to America on the Mayflower and was one of the signers of the Mayflower Compact. Among their nine children was Simon born June 1800. Simon moved to Floyd County, Iowa sometime between 1857 and 1860. His son Sylvester one of eight children, born Dec. 1839. He enlisted in the Union Army Sept. 1861 and fought in many of the battles of that conflict. Another son, James, also enlisted in the Iowa Infantry. A son, Benjamin, was in the Navy. During 1864 Simon sold out at Floyd, Iowa and came to Dixon County where he settled near Newcastle. Sylvester came to Dixon County to live with his family after he was discharged from the Army in 1866. Benjamin moved to Iowa m 1886 and Sylvester married Catherine Stewart, daughter of William Stewart, a well-known resident of Dixon County.
