She lived in Neola before moving to Council Bluffs 10 years ago. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in Neola in 1957, received a master's degree from Drake University. She entered the convent and was professed in 1960 in the Sisters of Humility Order in Ottumwa. (Ring) Gleason, 62, of Council Bluffs died August 14 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital. She was born April 12, 1939, in Iowa City to Edgar J. and Thelma (Dilley) Ring. She lived in Neola before moving to Council Bluffs 10 years ago. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in Neola in 1957, received a master's degree from Drake University. She entered the convent and was professed in 1960 in the Sisters of Humility Order in Ottumwa. She was with Sister of Humility for more than 30 years and taught in various Catholic schools, retiring from St. Albert Primary School in Council Bluffs. After retirement, she had worked for McClain & Associates as office manager for the past eight years. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Neola. Survivors include a brother, Ed Ring, and wife, Mary, of Council Bluffs; nieces and nephews. Wake services were held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Belford-O'Neill Funeral Home and Friday at 7 p.m. at Belford-O'Neill Hillside Mortuary in Neola. Funeral Mass was held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Neola with the Rev. Dan Kirby officiating.
