Description	:	BARBARA (GILMAN) RABITOY June 13, 1935 ~ February 9, 2013 "She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and colleague, who touched everyone with whom she came in contact." Barbara passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on February 9th, 2013, after a brave battle with cancer. She was born Barbara Gilman in Tacoma, Washington on June 13, 1935. Barbara passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on February 9th, 2013, after a brave battle with cancer. She was born Barbara Gilman in Tacoma, Washington on June 13, 1935. Barbara attended Providence Academy in Vancouver, Washington where she met her future husband and lifelong best friend, Michael Rabitoy. They were married on October 23, 1954 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Tacoma, Washington. They had 51 wonderful years before Mike's passing in 2006. Along with being a full time mother, wife and homemaker, she worked many years at Smokey's Pizza and later retired from the Vancouver School District Food Service. Barbara enjoyed working in her yard, camping and spending time with family and traveling with her husband Mike. She loved volunteering with St. John's Catholic Church in Vancouver, Washington and helping others through her service with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. She will be missed by her children, Teresa (Tucker) Cornman, Delores Becker, Tony (Shelly) Rabitoy, Steve Rabitoy (Dan), Mark (Val) Rabitoy, Chuck (Ann) Rabitoy, Barbara (Tim) Gilcrease, and Andy Rabitoy (Todd); as well as her 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at St. John's Catholic Church, 8701 NE 119th St., Vancouver, WA. Rosary service preceded the service.
