The accident resulted in the death of young Wagg, Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, after more than a 52 hour period of unconsciousness. LittleJohn, with his parents and brothers, were returning from visiting Wenatchee friends and were on their way home when the accident occurred. The driver of the Chevrolet coach stated that he sounded his horn when he saw a bike with two small boys on it going north about a mile this side of Pateros. The driver further stated that the bike was on the wrong side of the road and the rider did not heed the horn until just a short distance from the car and then it swerved sharply across the road in front of the oncoming machine. Wagg and Silverthorn On Bike Clyde Wagg was operated the bicycle and Ricahrd Silverthorn, about the same age as Wagg, was riding the handlebars. The driver of the car slammed on his brakes but was too late to stop the collision as the fender and bumper hit the rear wheel of the bike. Takes Lad To Doctor LittleJohn quickly loaded the unconscious Wagg into his car and brought him to Dr. McKinley here. After examination Wagg was rushed to Wenatchee to the Deaconess hospital. Dr. McKinley stated when he examined the injured lad that his chances of recovery were extremely slight as the boy had sustained a serious skull fracture. Surviving members of the Wagg family are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Wagg; six sister, Mrs. Louis Savage, Mrs. Wm. Parson, Helen, Evelyn, Nell and Doris Wagg and five brothers, Kyle, William, Blaine, Wallace and Sam Wagg, Jr. Funeral services will be held in Pateros at 2:30 today, with Rev. J. A. Hill officiating.
