Vocal music was provided by Gail Cyr and Judy Wyatt with Virginia Halderson as organist. Beatrice Hillan Beck was born July 7, 1906 at Glasco, Kans. She was the youngest of nine children born to Oscar and Margaret McCullough Hillan. She died May 5, 1987 at St. Joseph Hospital, Concordia, KS. at the age of 80. Vocal music was provided by Gail Cyr and Judy Wyatt with Virginia Halderson as organist. Beatrice Hillan Beck was born July 7, 1906 at Glasco, Kans. She was the youngest of nine children born to Oscar and Margaret McCullough Hillan. She died May 5, 1987 at St. Joseph Hospital, Concordia, KS. at the age of 80. Beatrice attended grade and high school in Glasco, graduating in 1925. She taught at the Bethel School two years after completing her education. On April 27, 1927, she was united in marriage with Elmer W. (Bud) Beck at the Christian Church Parsonage in Beloit. This union was blessed with four children, and the couple were privileged to celebrate their 60th Wedding anniversary, April 27, 1987. Beatrice lived in the Glasco area all her life except from 1951 to 1968, when Elmer's work took them to Malvern, AK. She was a member of the Glasco Christian Church and was involved with the activities of the church. Beatrice was a wonderful wife and mother, and enjoying music was one of her favorite pastimes. She is survived by her husband, Elmer of the home; two sons and their wives, Monte and Brenda Beck, Altamont, IL., and Mark and Geri Beck, Wichita; a daughter, Betty Nelson and her husband Wayne, Lufkin, TX.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Donna in 1928; three brothers, Ralph, Earl, and Guy; and five sisters Nora, Elsie, Leota, Effie, and Gladys. Casket bearers were Carl Adkins, Charles Brooks, Ronnie Brown, Bruce McClellan, Paul Nelson, and Leroy Wolf. Interment was in the Glasco Cemetery under the direction of Dean Funeral Home. ---
