Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Belvia Bryson, 66, were held on Wednesday, March 18,1964 at 2:00 p.m., from the Methodist church in Fontanelle, with the Rev. Evan Routh officiating. The soloist, Mrs. Claude Sivadge, was accompanied by Mrs. Marilla, Walsworth,in the following selection, "The Lord's Prayer." Flowerbearers were Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton Sivadge, and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Raasch. Casketbearers included Bill Day, Wade Scholey, Gilbert Cohoon, Glen Fengel, Bernard Darnold and Floyd Marvick. Belvia June Penwell. daughter of William and Ella Shepherd Penwell, was born June 21,1897 near Villisca, Iowa and passed away at the home of her foster mother Mrs. Mary Penwell in Villisca at the age of 66 years, 8 months and 23 days. Her early life was spent near Villisca,and she was united in marriage to Everett Bryson, June 1, 1919. To this union two sons were born, Fredrick and Max. The early years of their marriage were spent in and near Villisca, with the exception of five years when they resided on a farm near New Market. In 1945 they moved to Fontanelle, where they have resided until the time of her death. She is survived by her devoted husband, Everett G. Bryson, one son Fredrick, daughter-in-law, Lois, two grandchildren, Marsha and Freddie, her foster-mother, Mrs. Mary Penwell, all of Villisca, and one brother, Harold Penwell of Farragut. Four sisters, Mrs. Harold Cerven, Lincoln, Nebraska, Mrs. Howard Hawhee, Mrs. R. R. Watson and Mrs. Elvin Wells of the New Market vicinity. Many nieces and nephews and a host of friends also survive. She was proceeded in death by her son Max, her parents, a sister Minnie Pearl and a brother Orville. She was a faithful member of the Methodist church at Fontanelle, and gave generously of her time and talent as a Sunday school teacher and active member of the Women's Society of Christian Service as long as her health permitted. She was also a member of the Fontanelle Signal Corp organization. She was a devoted wife and homemaker, a loving mother, a kind and thoughtful neighbor, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
