Fowler, of Missoula, who passed away there on Saturday. Fowler, of Missoula, who passed away there on Saturday. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in Missoula and the remains were brought here on Wednesday afternoon and graveside services were held at 1:30 this afternoon. The Rev. Childress, of the Church of God in Missoula, came to Fort Benton for final rites. Mr. Fowler died in Memorial hospital in Missoula and had been in poor health for several years. Ben A. Fowler was born May 6, 1882, in North Carolina, where he spent his early life. He was married to Lela Weaver in that state April 12, 1908. They came west, locating in Washington state and moved from there to this county. Mrs. Fowler died Sept. 9, 1933. Mr. Fowler was a former resident of the Loma section for a good many years, where he homesteaded in 1913 and farmed until his retirement about ten years ago when he moved to Missoula to make his home. He is survived by three sons, Harold, of Loma, Euell Fowler and Burl Fowler, of Florence, and a daughter, Mrs. Allen Robertson, of Big Sandy; fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and many friends. There are two sisters in North Carolina, Mrs. Maggie Beeman and Mrs. Ada Douglas, also other relatives. One son died in infancy. Mr. Fowler was highly respected by all who knew him and his death will be mourned by a large circle of friends. --- Parents: William Fowler and Nancy Turner
