Description	:	Benjamin Forlow was born April 1, 1810, in Berks [Burkes] county, Penn. Died in Hicksville, Ohio, Feb. 5, 1899, aged 88 years, 10 months and 4 days. In 1831 he came with his father's family from Berks [Burkes] county, Penn. , to Butler county, Ohio. where he married Catherine Emerick. To this union were born 14 children, eight sons and six daughters. Five sons and one daughter are now living. Read More	Benjamin Forlow was born April 1, 1810, in Berks [Burkes] county, Penn. Died in Hicksville, Ohio, Feb. 5, 1899, aged 88 years, 10 months and 4 days. In 1831 he came with his father's family from Berks [Burkes] county, Penn. , to Butler county, Ohio. where he married Catherine Emerick. To this union were born 14 children, eight sons and six daughters. Five sons and one daughter are now living. After working at his trade as cabinet maker for ten years, in 1848 he moved to Defiance county, and located on a piece of land in Milford township, which he owned at his death. For 33 years father and mother Forlow toiled and labored together on the same farm for the support of their children. The mother died Nov. 4, 1876, preceeding the father to their future home twenty-two years and three months. Father Forlow while a young man became a member of the German Reformed church, which relation he retained throughout life. He was a man of strong religious convictions and was noted for his honesty in all contracts and business transactions. The funeral occurred at the Lost Creek Lutheran church Tuesday afternoon. Services were conducted by Pastor George B. Troub, of this city. Interment occurred at Lost Creek.
