Description	:	FRANKLIN COUNTY SENTINEL 03 APR 1903 Grandpa Francisco passed away Saturday about noon. He died of old age, being in his 85th year. He was confined to the house only a few weeks and gradually grew weaker and weaker until the end. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. B. W. Mitchell at the Congregational Church on Monday at 11 a.m., Ben Franklin Post, G. A. R., of which Mr. Francisco had been a member since 1883, conducted the exercises at the grave. Benjamin was born in Jefferson County, New York on March 4, 1819. In August 1844, he was united in marriage to Lucia Lasedale and to this union were born eight sons and two daughters of which all, but two sons, are still living. The Franciscos moved from New York to Wisconsin where at the outbreak of the Civil War, Mr. Francisco joined Company C, 13th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry, serving his country long and faithfully. After, the family moved to Kansas and later Nebraska. The deceased was a good man and a honored citizen and the citizens of the community give a tender and sincere sympathy to the bereaved family." 13TH WI INF.
