Four children, Debra, Pamela, Cindy, and Steve, were born to this union. Ben was married to Delores Koch at Salem Lutheran Church, Superior, Nebraska in 2001. The couple resided in Superior. Preceding him in death were his father, Bernard, and first wife, Roberta. Survivors include his wife, Delores of Superior; his mother, Hilda Kemper of Deshler, Nebraska; three daughters, Debra Wenske and husband David of Deshler, Nebraska; Pamela Arett and husband Ralph of Palmyra, Nebraska; and Cindy Marquart and husband Leon of Byron, Nebraska; and one son, Steven Kemper and wife Barbara Mattson of Omaha, Nebraska; eight grandchildren; three step-granddaughters; four step-great-grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held on Monday, December 6, 2004 at 2:00 PM at the Salem Lutheran Church in Superior, Nebraska with Rev. Evelyn Phillips & Irvin Schleufer PMA officiating. Pallbearers were Tim Wenske, Andy Marquart, Jeff Arett, TK Rogers, David Watson, Rod Watson and Clayton Bohm. Honorary Pallbearers were Trudy Wenske, Maggie Marquart, Lori Arett, Julienne Kemper, Vienne Kemper and Melinda Marquart. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska.
