Description	:	BERNICE EVELYN MARSH Bernice Evelyn Marsh, daughter of Lars B. and Lillie Fay Thorson Larson, was born September 28, 1908 in rural Adams County, Iowa, and passed away on August 3, 1982 at the age of 73 years in Jennie Edmundson Hospital, Council Bluffs, Iowa after a long illness. Read More	BERNICE EVELYN MARSH Bernice Evelyn Marsh, daughter of Lars B. and Lillie Fay Thorson Larson, was born September 28, 1908 in rural Adams County, Iowa, and passed away on August 3, 1982 at the age of 73 years in Jennie Edmundson Hospital, Council Bluffs, Iowa after a long illness. Bernice and Earl Marsh were united in marriage on June 14, 1927 at Red Oak, Iowa. They made their home in Villisca and recently celebrathed their 55 anniversary. This union was blessed with one daughter, Elizabeth (Betty). Bernice and Earl worked together for the many years while they were in business. She was a member of the Villisca United Methodist Church, a member of the F.L.T. Centennial Rebekah Lodge, the Legion Auxilliary, and the Villisca Chapter of the Eastern Star #80 O.E.S. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Clifford and Loyd Larson. She is survived by her husband, Earl; daughter, Betty and son-in-law Marvin L. Ward; three grandchildren, Gregory Ward and his wife Joan, Kurt Ward and Jan Denise Bland; five great grandchildren, Shane, Renae, and Melissa Ward, and Brice and Brian Blank, all of Villisca; one sister, Mrs. Florence Means and her husband Neil Means of Villisca; one brother Gerald Larson and wife Be a of Red Oak; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Charlotte Larson of Corning and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Friday, August 6, 1982 at the United Methodist Church, Villisca, Iowa with Rev. Clair Kerns officiating. Robert White was soloist, with Martha Hentsch accompanying on the organ. Musical selections, “How Great Thou Art” and “Whispering Hope.” Charlotte Enarson was at the register. Flower bearers were Mrs. Lee Means and Mrs. Eugene McConnell. Ushers were Lee Means and Maynard Andrew. Casket bearers were Robert Means, Phillip Currin, Russell Anderson, Robert Marsh, Douglas Scott, and Eugene McConnell. Final resting place was in the Villisca Cemetery, Villisca, Iowa.
