To more accurately state Bernice's name and marital history: Bernice M "Bartos" [nee Mentzer, Santee, Moore, Mentzer] White. Married Clarence Edward Mentzer sometime before 1925, listed with him in a 1926 Huron city directory. Must have been a very short marriage. Beckham in 1945. They had four children, Betty died in 2001.). Betty was mentioned in a 1943 Huron paper relating an article from a Graham, TX paper, as responsible for saving 3 lives as a lifeguard at a Graham pool. The article said the family left Huron about 8 years before. Married William A. Moore (1906–1956) lived in Graham, TX; William was the informat on his father's 1939 death certificate, noted his address as 722 Indiana, Graham (a different family was living there in 1940 census); Bernice was noted on his 1942 WWII draft registration living at 724 Indiana St; 724 Indiana had not entry on the 1940 Census, suggesting that the census taker missed the houes; they divorced before 1950, his stepdaughter Betty Beckham was informat on his Death Certificate.
