Description	:	Berniece P. DeForest, 91, Fremont, Neb., died Sunday, June 6, 2010. Funeral services were held Thursday, June 10 at First Baptist Church in Fremont with Rev. Dr. David Bender and Rev. Leland Foreman officiating. Pallbearers were Ronald Sedlacek, David Sedlacek, Donald Sedlacek, Gary Sedlacek, Gene Allender and Jason Allender. Interment was held at Memorial Cemetery, Fremont. Later she moved to Fremont from Minnesota. She was employed by Campbell Soup Co. in Fremont for 13 years as a production supervisor. Then she was employed by Dr. Bronder for 12 years. She married William H. DeForest on Nov. 27, 1968. Berniece was a member of the First Baptist Church and its Esther Circle. She had served on the church's property and finance committee and also on the social services committee. She is survived by her husband, William H. DeForest; a daughter, Kathlyn (Gene) Allender, Omaha, Neb.; sons, Ronald S. (Marcia) Sedlacek, Pensacola, Fla.; David W. (Dorothy) Sedlacek, Pipestone; Donald G. (Lottie) Sedlacek, Brandenburg, Kent.; Gary E. (Maribeth) Sedlacek, Janesville, Wisc.; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Sedlacek, Mountain Home, Ark.; step-daughter, Shari Cook, Sauk City, Wisc.; 20 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, LaVern, a sister Dorothy, and son Wesley Sedlacek. Memorials are suggested to the Low Income Ministry and to the Esther Circle of the First Baptist Church.
