He was born Nov 22, 1915, near Hepburn, Ia, the son of Albert and Lula Knowles Hollis. On August 21, 1954, he was married to Betty Sullivan Miller. Mr Hollis was a carpenter and worked in California for 26 years. They moved back to Clarinda in 1982, and lived there until moving to Percival in 1987. He was born Nov 22, 1915, near Hepburn, Ia, the son of Albert and Lula Knowles Hollis. On August 21, 1954, he was married to Betty Sullivan Miller. Mr Hollis was a carpenter and worked in California for 26 years. They moved back to Clarinda in 1982, and lived there until moving to Percival in 1987. Mr Hollis is survived by his wife of the home, and children: Patty Usher and husband, Dennis, Clarinda, Betty Wallace and husband, Robert, Glenwood, Carolyn Howe, San Diego, Ca, Janet Wilhite and husband, John, Long Beach, Ca, Sue Hollis, Chester, Ca, Michael Hollis and wife, Laura, Ajo, Az, Jerry Miller and wife Mavis, Glenwood, Kay Vincent and husband, Joe, Downey, Ca, and John Miller, Huntington Beach, Ca. There are 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Gertie Cross, Clarinda, is a sister. Brother-in-laws are Loren Sullivan, Ca, Everett Sullivan, Chariton, Ia, three sisters-in-law, Margaret Musick, Chariton, Ia, Helen Willits, Chariton, and Phyllis Vincente, Hanford, Ca. He was preceded in death by parents, infant son, and brothers, Glen, Ora and Virgil.
