Description	:	Berta Adele Kline, 87, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at St. Lukes Hospital in Boise, Idaho. She was born May 12, 1920, in Horace, to Bert C. and Ethel L. Bowman Kline. She grew up in Greeley County, living there until moving to Florida with her mother, who was in rehabilitation after an automobile accident in Tribune, and continued to care for her mother until her death in 1976. A 1938 graduate of Hoisington High School, she received a bachelor's degree from Kansas State University at Fort Hays and a master's degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.... Read More	Berta Adele Kline, 87, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at St. Lukes Hospital in Boise, Idaho. She was born May 12, 1920, in Horace, to Bert C. and Ethel L. Bowman Kline. She grew up in Greeley County, living there until moving to Florida with her mother, who was in rehabilitation after an automobile accident in Tribune, and continued to care for her mother until her death in 1976. A 1938 graduate of Hoisington High School, she received a bachelor's degree from Kansas State University at Fort Hays and a master's degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. During World War II, she was active in the home front war effort holding a position as a components inspector for building B-25 Mitchell bombers at the North American Aviation Plant in Kansas City. She taught school for more than 40 years in Kansas and Florida and was a reading specialist at Clearview Elementary School, retiring in 1982. She was a life member of Una Chapter 119 Order of Eastern Star at Hoisington, Florida Retired Educators Association and Pinellas County Retired Educators Association, belonged to Gamma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma and attended Wesley Memorial Methodist Church in St. Petersburg. She enjoyed traveling, taking several cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska with her friend and her sister, driving from San Francisco to New York in 1984 and from Florida to Idaho in 2007 to be closer to her family. She loved dogs, especially her pets, Sammy, Bandit and Josette, and also loved to quilt. Funeral was in Tribune, where she was buried next to her grandparents, parents and sister, Lucile.
