Read More	BROWN, BERTHA EDITH—died at Hot Springs, Ark., January 17, 1918, aged 23 years, 5 months, and 20 days. Bertha Edith Brown, daughter of Reuben S. and Lucretia J. Brown, was born in Thomas county, Kansas, July 28, 1894. She was converted at the age of nine years. She united with the United Brethren church at Strang, Neb., later uniting with the Christian church of Geneva. A few months ago her father and her sister, Miss Belle Brown, took her to Hot Springs in the hope of benefiting her health, but the effort was unavailing. The body arrived in Geneva Monday and was taken to the family home. The funeral took place at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon from the United Brethren church and was conducted by Rev. R.H. Thompson of the Methodist church. The interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Deceased is survived by her father; six brothers and four sisters.
