She was among the pioneers to this sector of the Dakotas, coming here in 1883. On March 30, 1884, she was married to Albert Erdmann. They were blessed with five children. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Erdmann were charter members in the founding and organizing of the local St. John's Lutheran congregation in 1893. She was among the pioneers to this sector of the Dakotas, coming here in 1883. On March 30, 1884, she was married to Albert Erdmann. They were blessed with five children. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Erdmann were charter members in the founding and organizing of the local St. John's Lutheran congregation in 1893. A great portion of her life was afflicted with sickness, being bed-ridden for about ten years. Mrs. Erdmann was preceded in death by her husband who died January 7, 1943; two sons, Ora, who died as a little boy of six in 1904, and Emil, who passed away on April 24, this year. She is survived by two sons, Herman of Aberdeen, and Gilbert of Groton, and a daughter, Emma Wilcox of Webster; also six grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and three great, great grandchildren. Suneral services were held at St. John's Lutheran church at 2:00 p. m., Saturday, with the Rev. R. M. Grundmeier officiating. Mrs. Erdmann passed away Tuesday, Nov. 22, at te Neu Nursing Home. The choir sang "Beautiful Savior" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus," accompanied by Mrs. Eugene Neuman. Burial was in the Groton cemetery. Pall bearers were Walter, Gerhardt, Marvin, Alfred, Ora and Arnold Erdmann. Those from away attending the last rites were: Messrs. and Mesdames Herman Erdmann, Robert Eske, Ray Ellsworth, J. H. Reese, Wm. Rogers of Aberdeen; James Wilcox, Webster; Ora Erdmann and Arnold Erdmann, Wetonka; Charles Hatch, Wessington Springs, and Mrs. Frances Sardis and son of North Dakota.
