Mrs. McManus was a daughter of Frank and Naomi Butler, and was born in Montlcello, February 4, 1877. Her death occurred at the University hospital at Iowa City last week Monday. Hospital Burial services wes had for Mrs. Bessie McManus of Hopkinton at Oakwood cemetery In Montlcello last Thursday afternoon. Mrs. McManus was a daughter of Frank and Naomi Butler, and was born in Montlcello, February 4, 1877. Her death occurred at the University hospital at Iowa City last week Monday. Her girlhood days were spent in Monticello. She was married twice. Her first husband was Joseph R. Morrison. Their marriage occurred at Sand Springs, December 25, 1894. To this union were born two sons, one of whom, John Morrison, of Chicago, Illinois, survives his mother. The second marriage of the subject of this sketch occurred August 23, 1913, to John F. McManus. Mr. McManus passed away January 5, 1930. In addition to her son, Mrs. McManus is survived by two stepchildren and three grandchildren, one brother and one sister. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Hopkinton, last Thursday afternoon, and were In charge of Rev. A. B. Soule, pastor.
