Butler Buried Monday Services at Grave In Charge of Masons Charles Raymond Butler, for the past two years a resident of Monticello, passed away on West First street early Saturday morning following a long and serious illiiess. During this time he was tenderly cared for by his wife. Mr. Butler was a son of Fred and Naomi Butler. He was born March 13, 1879, in Monticello, and therefore at the time of his death had reached the age of (61 years, one month and 28 days. He attended the Monticello public schools and spent the major portion of his boyhood days in this community. He was united in marriage to Minnie Matthiesson, February 19, 1920, and they made their home in Davenport, in Indiana, and for a number of years in Cedar Rapids. For the past two years their home had been made in Monicello. In addition to his wife, Mr. Butler leaves to mourn his departure, one sister, Mrs. Edith Grace Schroeder of Maquokela, two nephews and two nieces, John Boland of McGregor, John H. Morrison ot Chicago, Mrs. Bessie Bean of Maquoketa, and Mrs. Hans Bock of Hiinton. Two sisters, Mrs. Clara Boland and Mrs. Bessie McMannus, and a brother, Guy F. Butler, preceded him in death. Mr. Butler united with the Presbyterian church during the pastorite of Rev. David Street at Monticello. He was also a member of Crescent Lodge No. 25 A. F. & A. M. of Cedar Rapids. Funeral services for Mr. Butler were held at the Iverson funeral home at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon with Rev. William J. Grossheim in charge. Interment was made at Oakwood cemetery. Committment services were in charg of Burns Lodge No. 173 A. F. & A. M. at the grave. The Masonic ritual was given by Rev. David de Best of Hopkinton. The following relatives from out of town were present at Mr. Butler's funeral: Mrs. J. A. Schroeder and two daughters, Iris and Doris, and Mrs. Bessie Bean of Maquoketa; E. N. McGill, Massillon; P. L. Timpe, Spirit Lake; Mr. and Mrs. A. E.
