Pomeroy, 89, of 1027 15th Street, Boone, died at the Ledges Manor, Friday, Dec. 15, where she had been a patient for seven weeks. Mrs. Pomeroy, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Harvey, was born in Tama County, Iowa, Oct. 18, 1878. She was united in marriage to Perry Pomeroy at Dedham, Iowa, Sept. 10, 1906. He was a stock buyer and farmer. Pomeroy, 89, of 1027 15th Street, Boone, died at the Ledges Manor, Friday, Dec. 15, where she had been a patient for seven weeks. Mrs. Pomeroy, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Harvey, was born in Tama County, Iowa, Oct. 18, 1878. She was united in marriage to Perry Pomeroy at Dedham, Iowa, Sept. 10, 1906. He was a stock buyer and farmer. They moved from Dedham to Stratford in 1932, and Mrs. Pomeroy moved to Boone in 1959. She was a member of the Stratford Methodist Church and Avon Chapter, Order of Eastern Star of Stratford. Mrs. Pomeroy was preceded in death by her husband in 1956; by her parents; a sister and 2 brothers. Survivors include a son, Dr. M. E. Pomeroy of Indianola; 2 daughters, Mrs. Ila King of Boone, and Miss Ione Pomeroy of Fort Dodge; 2 granddaughters, Mrs. J. D. (Eileen) Hook of Boone, and Mrs. Audrienne Swedlund of Stratford; a grandson, Marshall King of Boone; and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 18, at 10:30 a.m. at the Stark-Welin Chapel with the Rev. Gerald LaMotte, minister of the First Methodist Church in charge, followed by services at 1:30 p.m. at the Stratford Methodist Church with the Rev. Walter Phelps officiating. Burial will be at the South Marion Cemetery. Friends may call at the Stark-Welin Chapel this Saturday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
