Ayr, Iowa for a former Cushing resident, Mrs. Fred McClelland, 75, who died Wednesday, November 13, after a lengthy illness. Bess Smith was born July 4, 1899 in Cushing, the daughter of Abraham Lincoln and Ella Smith. She was married to Fred McClelland at St. Paul.
