Description	:	Bethel Wanda (Tallcott) Cassell was born in Hollenberg, Washington County, Kansas. She was the first child born to Elmer Wilbert Tallcott and Cora Lulu (Thrapp) Tallcott. Bethel was raised at Hollenberg, Kansas with two sisters, Lois Beryl (Tallcott) Westlake and Bernice Lolelia (Tallcott) Stenzel and one brother, Forest Elmer "Frostie" Tallcott. To this union were born: Selma Lorraine (Cassell) Warwick on 15 Aug 1918, Betty Jo (Cassell) Stine on 18 Nov 1920, Jack Ward Cassell on 16 May 1923, Morris Gene Cassell on 7 Nov 1926, Charles Vernon Cassell on 22 May 1929, and Belva Lee Cassell on 8 Nov 1937. Bethel's husband, "Jum" Cassell, preceded her in death on 5 Jun 1949. She was also preceded in death by her father, Elmer, on 9 Nov 1953 and her mother, Cora, on 14 Dec 1965. In addition, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Beryl, on 29 Apr 1945, her daughter, Betty, on 29 Dec 1986, and her son, Jack, on 3 Apr 1942. Bethel lived to the age of 92 where she passed away at the Jefferson County Memorial Hospital in Fairbury, Nebraska on 11 Dec 1987. She was buried at the Steele City Cemetery in Steele City, Jefferson County, Nebraska. There was no question that Jesus was Bethel's Lord and Savior and that her family meant the world to her. Many from Steele City witnessed or knew of Bethel's kindness and generosity.
