She grew up in Audubon Count and attended Exira No. 7 Country School. She than attended Anita High school where she graduated in 1948. On October 4, 1949, she was married to LeRoy Kinzie at the Methodist Parsonage in Audubon. They lived in the Anita area all of their married lives, and LeRoy preceded her in Death on Moy 1, 1988. Read More	Obituary Betty Jane Masching was born in Audubon County, Iowa, on January 27, 1929, the daughter of Frank Raymond and Mary Mil Rhea Clark Masching. She grew up in Audubon Count and attended Exira No. 7 Country School. She than attended Anita High school where she graduated in 1948. On October 4, 1949, she was married to LeRoy Kinzie at the Methodist Parsonage in Audubon. They lived in the Anita area all of their married lives, and LeRoy preceded her in Death on Moy 1, 1988. Bette worked at several cafes, including the Redwood, until her health caused her to retire. She loved her grand kids and great grand kids and called them "her medicine" and she loved "Elvis." She had a large collectibles. She loved flowers, both indoor and outdoor, and was a member of the Anita Garden Club for many years. Surviving are a daughter, Derinda Gettler and husband Don of Casey; great niece that she had raised in their home, Julie of Porter, Indiana; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; three sisters, Jenevieve Christensen, Pauline Christensen, and Lena Mae Metheny; a niece, Twila Marnin; and nephew, Sheldon Metheny. Services were held on Tuesday 23 September, 2003, 10:00 A. M. at Mullen Funeral Home, Anita, Adair County, Iowa. Pallbearers were (Grandchildren) Brian Gettler, Samantha Gettler, Brad Gettler, Brenda Gettler, Suzanne Dennis, and Mike Dennis. Honorary Pallbearers were (Great-Grandchildren) Paige Dennis, Haile Dennis, Veronica Gettler, Makayla Gettler, Austin Gettler, Cody Gettler, and Skylar Petterson. Officiant was Rev. Annette Ruhs Kruse, internment of Cremains at Evergreen Cemetery, Anita, Adair County, Iowa
