Description	:	MOTHER DIES AT AGE OF 23 - Mrs. Bernard Weyer, 23, died last Friday afternoon at the Hawarden hospital from virus pneumonia, following the birth of twins early that morning. Mrs. Weyer, developed pneumonia about noon the attending physician reported. The twins are normal and are being cared for at the hospital until arrangements for their care are made by members of the family. Larson sang two hymns, "Nearer My God To Thee", and "The Old Rugged Cross". She was accompanied by the organist, Mrs. P. W. Peters. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery. Betty Ann, the eight child of Mr. & Mrs. Guy Harkness, was born March 17, 1926, in Union County, South Dakota. She spent her childhood in the vicinity of Akron. She attended school there and at Le Mars and graduated from grade school in Union County. She came to the Hawarden vicinity in 1941. She was married to Bernard Weyer in the Methodist parsonage in Hawarden by Rev. Willard Bell on November 11, 1945. To this union were born four children: Sharon Ann, Bernard Larry, Karen Marie and Kay Louise. Together with her husband she joined the Methodist church in Hawarden in 1946, and the two older children were baptized in the church. Survivors include her husband and four children; her paretns, Mr. & Mrs. Guy Harkness of Akron; six brothers, Donald, Arnold, Guy, Jr., Alvin, Jayce and Blair all of Akron; four sisters, Mrs. Roy Dimmick and Mrs. Richard Millikan of Hawarden, and Benita and Beatrice of Akron. Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death. Those from a distance who attended the funeral were: Peter Weyer of Aberdeen, S.D., Mr. & Mrs. George Rhoten, Mr. & Mrs. Burdette Cusick, Mr. & Mrs. Lawarence Cusick, Mr. & Mrs. Aaron Coffee, Mr. & Mrs. Clem Riehle of Burbank, S.D., Mrs. Lottie Coleman of Sioux City, Clarence Harkness of Jefferson, Mr. & Mrs. Daucy Fletcher of Akron, Mr. & Mrs. Kenneth Beach of Vermillion, Mr. & Mrs. Sipke Dorhout, Mr. & Mrs. Bill Van Stanten and Sam Dorhout of Lebanon, Mr. & Mrs. Peter Dorhont of Hudson and Dick Dorhout of Ireton.
