Description	:	Betty Jane (Yager) Lix, of Laurel, passed away at the age of 80, Jan. 18, 2008, of congestive heart failure. She left this world in the loving arms of her husband Arnie of 28 years. Mom was born July 3, 1927, to Henry and Molly (Helzer) Yager in Silesia. She attended schools in Silesia and Laurel. Mom worked many jobs to support her family. She was a loving, kind, and compassionate wife, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mom gave everything to her family, whom she loved so much. Her fondness memories were with her family. Mom is survived by her husband Arnie; sisters, Dori Lyons, Helen Stenerson, and Joyce Owen; brothers, Albert and Walt Yager; children Pam (Tom) Robertus of Laurel, Kay (Tom) Roberts of Helena, Dennis Kautz (Athena) of Arizona and Jim Yager of Billings; step-daughter Debbie Shoopman, and step-son Kirt Lix; grandchildren, Lanette Yager, Shelly (Scott) Clayton of Lake City, Fla., Doug (Allyson) Robertus of Laurel, Rob Bermes of Billings, Rick (J-Nell) Bermes of Billings, Keri (Joey) Tignini, Michael (Patty) Kautz, and Kristen (Ryan) VanDyke of Arizona; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Taylor and Jordan Clayton of Lake City, Fla., Aspen and McKenna Robertus of Laurel, and Makayla Bermes of Billings. Mom was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Molly (Helzer) Yager; brother Clarence; sisters Irene Hein and Elsie Marks and an infant sibling. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Jan. 22, at the Smith Funeral Chapel, 315 East 3rd St., Laurel, Mont. Cremation has taken place.
