Description	:	Betty Louise (Brown) York, 82, Williamsport, passed away at the St. Elizabeth East Hospital, Lafayette, on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at 12:02 a.m. Betty was born in Lafayette, IN, on November 16, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Genevieve "Grandma Cotton" (Evans) Brown. Betty was raised in West Lebanon and graduated from West Lebanon High School in 1948. Read More	Betty Louise (Brown) York, 82, Williamsport, passed away at the St. Elizabeth East Hospital, Lafayette, on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at 12:02 a.m. Betty was born in Lafayette, IN, on November 16, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Genevieve "Grandma Cotton" (Evans) Brown. Betty was raised in West Lebanon and graduated from West Lebanon High School in 1948. On June 5, 1948, Betty married Donald Eugene York in the West Lebanon Christian Church. He preceded her in death on January 23, 2013. Betty and her husband Don had lived in Kokomo from 1967-1988. While living in Kokomo, Betty was active in the local bowling league and an avid golfer, participating in local golf leagues. She also enjoyed playing bridge and was a part of a local bridge club in Kokomo. They later moved to Sebring, Florida and was an active member of the Sebring Christian Church. After moving back to Williamsport in 2003, they changed their membership to the West Lebanon Christian Church and were active in the church. Betty leaves behind her two daughters, Deborah (Brad) Johnson, Williamsport and Karen (John) Hughey, Tipton, IN; two sisters, Marlene Synesael, West Lebanon and Lois Worley, Williamsport; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter. Friends may call at the West Lebanon Christian Church, 201 S. Clinton St., West Lebanon on Tuesday, April 16th, from 4:00 p.m. until service time at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Bruce Thornsbrough officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the West Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Lebanon Christian Church.
