Betty was born on Dec. 12, 1922, in Cedar County, the daughter of Elwood and Pearl Kaufmann Hain. She married Neal Kleindolph on Aug. 20, 1947, at the Congregational Chapel in Iowa City. After graduation she had worked at the Muscatine County Court House and at the Rock Island Arsenal. Following her marriage she worked in their family business, “Neal’s Vacuum and Sewing Center”, until her retirement. She enjoyed teaching women sewing techniques with their new sewing machines. She was a life member of the Eastern Star and was also a member of Faith United Church of Christ. She loved sewing, dancing, playing cards, and attending her grandkid’s sporting events. She especially treasured and loved her family and grandkids. Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Neal Kleindolph of Muscatine; one son, Jerry Kleindolph and wife, Linda, of Muscatine; two daughters, Sandra Weggen and husband, Jim and Sue Hunt and husband, Jeff, all of Muscatine; five grandchildren, Andrew, Polly, Casey, Betsy, and Benton; one great-granddaughter, Nealyn; one brother, Russell Hain and wife, Bettye Jo, of Austin, Texas; many nieces and nephews; and a very special cousin, Marge Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul Hain and wife, Anna Mae, and Harold Hain and wife, Betty Muscatine Journal: Dec. 2, 2014
