Description	:	WINSLOW - Beverly Ann Pelletier, 80, died on Friday, May 17, 2013, at her home on Pattee's Pond with her family by her side. She was born on Nov. 23, 1932, in Waterville, the daughter of Elmer and Irene (Poirier) Cowan. Beverly did waitress work for most of her life and owned her own restaurant, The Elms, for a number of years before going back to waitressing. She was a member of the Winslow Veterans of Foreign... Read More	WINSLOW - Beverly Ann Pelletier, 80, died on Friday, May 17, 2013, at her home on Pattee's Pond with her family by her side. She was born on Nov. 23, 1932, in Waterville, the daughter of Elmer and Irene (Poirier) Cowan. Beverly did waitress work for most of her life and owned her own restaurant, The Elms, for a number of years before going back to waitressing. She was a member of the Winslow Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. In her spare time, she loved playing bingo, doing puzzles, playing mahjong and backgammon with family and friends. Beverly was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Donald Pelletier; siblings Cheryl, Carmen and Reggie; and her first husband, Herbert Leathers. She is survived by three sons, David Leathers, and wife Paula, of Vassalboro, Robert Leathers and wife Jody, of Winslow, and Michael Leathers, of Benton; a daughter, Linda Lizzotte, and husband Daniel, of Winslow; stepdaughters Debbie, Julie and Sandy; her grandchildren, Bonnie Cassidy, Joey Leathers and wife Brenda, Craig Lizzotte and fiance Lisa, Nicholas Lizzotte, Brian Leathers, Kalena Leathers, Kristen Plugge, Nathan Leathers and Cassidy Leathers; and step-grandchildren Danielle, Danica, Ryan, Patrick, Max, Adam and Eric. Beverly was blessed with 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Priscilla Maheu, Norma McCaslin and husband Bernard, and Betty Smith and husband Billy; a brother-in-law, Raymond Pelletier, and companion Martha; sister-in-law June Maheu; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, special friends, Barbara and Ken Shaw and Theresa Sullivan; as well as many more friends. A visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Veilleux Funeral Home. Committal will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2013, in the chapel at the new Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery on Mount Vernon Road in Augusta. (Morning Sentinel 5/21/2013 & Veilleux FH)
