Bill was born on January 7, 1943 in Junction City to the late Ruby Johnson McLelland and Clarence F. McLelland. Bill worked for Louisiana Pacific Timber for many years before their closing. He then went to work for Watson Saw Mill in Mt. Holly as a log scaler, serving several years before his retirement. Read More	Billy Author McLelland age 72 of Junction City, LA went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 6, 2015. Bill was born on January 7, 1943 in Junction City to the late Ruby Johnson McLelland and Clarence F. McLelland. Bill worked for Louisiana Pacific Timber for many years before their closing. He then went to work for Watson Saw Mill in Mt. Holly as a log scaler, serving several years before his retirement. He was a longtime member of Iron Mountain Baptist Church and was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. Bill loved working in his garden, hunting and tending to his animals. He was an outdoorsman and loved to share his produce with his neighbors and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and by one sister, Ola Mae McLelland. Those left to cherish his memory include; his loving wife of 43 years, Mable Rogers McLelland of Junction City; three sons, Bill McLelland Jr and wife Jenifer, Mark McLelland and Chris McLelland and wife Angie all of Junction City; one daughter, Angela Stratton and husband Michael of El Dorado; eight grandchildren, Crystal Fallin and husband Dylan of Three Creeks, Blake McLelland, Tristan McLelland, Samantha McLelland, Tanner McLelland and Tori McLelland all of Junction City, Sean Stratton and Luke Stratton both of El Dorado; two sisters, Margaret Acklin of Archibald, LA and Betty Ann Simmons and husband Allen of Junction City; Six brothers, Charles McLelland and wife Irene, Frank McLelland, Neal McLelland and wife Loraine, Richard McLelland and wife Gwena, Clarence McLelland and wife Shanna all of Junction City and Jerry McLelland and wife Dora of Wesson, AR. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Bailey Funeral Home in Junction City. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 am on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Iron Mountain Baptist Church with Bro. Allen Grimmett officiating. Burial will follow at Scotland Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Junction City. The family will be at the McLelland residence, 210 S. Elm in Junction City, LA Memorials may be made to Iron Mountain Baptist Church, 2227 Iron Mountain Road, El Dorado, AR 71730.
