He is survived by his children, Angela King of Monticello, Ark.; Nick Gering, Hastings; Zhon Gering, Ft. Collins, Colo. and Gerald Gering, Russelville, Ark.; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, with Pastor Ken Fairbroiher officiating. Interment with military rites was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Superior.
