Read More	************************ Chanute Tribune ~ Chanute, KS ~ September 25, 2007 Billy Gene "Bill" Krout, 78, Humboldt, KS, died Thursday, September 20, 2007, at the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute, Kansas. He was born Aug. 8, 1929, in Cedar Vale, Kansas, to Kinney and Gladys (Duncan) Krout. He attended school in Arkansas City, Kansas. He joined the U.S. Air Force. He served in Germany during the Korean War. While stationed at Shepard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas, he met and married Thresa E. Craig in Tucumcari, New Mexico, on June 1, 1952. She preceded him in death on Nov. 21, 2006. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Humboldt and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1254 in Arkansas City. Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Bryan Vaughn, Seale, AL; Karen and Tim Clounch, Humboldt, KS, Leyona and Shane Burris, Chanute, KS; and Janie and Kevin Hytry, Stevens Point, WI; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Terry "Butch" and Colleen Krout, Chanute, KS, and twins Grant and Lee Krout, Humboldt, KS; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara K. Orman; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard T. and JoRita Krout; a sister-in-law, Barbara L. Krout, Arkansas City, KS; and two aunts, Patsy Baily and Maxine Magnus, Cedar Vale, KS; and many nieces and nephews of his late wife's family. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert "Bob" Krout; a brother, Jimmy L. Krout; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Humboldt, Kansas. ***********************
