Description	:	Blanch was only three years old when she cane with her mother and two sisters to America, As her ship, the Manitoban, was sailing across the ocean, one of its rudders broke and all of the passengers feared being adrift at sea. The story is told that her mother and other ship passengers saw a mermaid just before they were rescued by another ship and towed to safety. Blanch's father found work in America as a coal miner in the mines of Oklahoma and Arkansas. Blanch married and raised 6 children. She was renown for her simple but always delicious cooking; homemade bread and apple pie were her specialties. Blanch became a US citizen on January 12, 1940 Blanch Inez Graham Genta (nee Nicolle) was born October 3, 1884 in France, the daughter of Peter and Celia Delatree Nicolle. She died June 20, 1971 age 86 in San Pedro, California. Her 1st husband was Fergus Graham. Her 2nd husband, born Joseph (Guiseppe) Genta was born April 26, 1885 in Italy. He died Oct 30, 1971 age 86 in San Pedro, CA, formerly of Sebastian, Ark. He worked in the Arkansas coal mines and the California Ship Yard.
