Description	:	Ottumwa Courier January 12, 1977 Mrs. Blanche Porter, 96, of 329 S. Moore died Wednesday at 7:45 p.m. at St. Joseph Hospital. She was born July 16, 1881, in Ottumwa to James and Elizabeth Scully. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. She first married Oliver Dimmitt in 1902. He preceded her in death. She married Royal Porter Sr. in April 1915. He also preceded her in death. She married Royal Porter Sr. in April 1915. He also preceded her in death. Surviving are five daughters Mrs. Olive Hunt and Mrs. Mae Hunt of Ottumwa, Mrs. Daisy Shull of Fort Dodge, Mrs. Dorothy Ware of Calif., and Mrs. Marjorie Bell of Clinton; two sons Royal of Ottumwa and Henry of Texas; 23 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Minnie Huebert of Minn. The funeral will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, the Rev. Milton Akey officiating. Burial will be in McIntire Cemetery south of Ottumwa. The casket will be taken at noon from Jay Funeral Home to the church.
