BLANCHE "MIDGE" {COOK} HAWKS, age 82, of Sac City, IA, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Park View Rehabilitation Center in Sac City, IA. MIDGE was born on March 25, 1930, to FLOYD and CAROLYN M. (SIMON) COOK in rural Wall Lake, IA. With eleven siblings, it was a busy household. MIDGE attended country school and graduated from Wall Lake High School. She was baptized and confirmed her faith at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wall Lake, IA. On January 29, 1949, MIDGE was united in marriage to WILLIAM A. HAWKS, in Omaha, NE. MIDGE and BILL made their home in Sac City,IA, where they raised their two sons, FRANK and BOB. MIDGE worked at Noble Manufacturing in Sac City,IA, for many years as an Administrative Assistant and then at Sunwise Systems, retiring in 1999. MIDGE enjoyed camping, working on crafts and reading. Midge loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They brought her great joy when they came to visit her. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. MIDGE was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Auxiliary and a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Sac City. _____________________________________ SURVIVORS INCLUDE HER: SONS: ~ Frank Hawks and friend Linda Brown of Lake View,IA; ~ Bob Hawks of Sac City,IA; GRANDCHILDREN: ~ William R. Hawks and wife Jen of Ely,IA; ~ Larissa "Lacey" Hawks of Sac City, IA; GREAT~GRANDCHILDREN: ~ Wyatt and Landon Hawks of Ely, IA; ~ Cianna, Rylen and Taelyn Johnson of Sac City, IA; BROTHER: ~ John Cook and wife Velma of McCook, SD; MANY NIECES, NEPHEWS AND EXTENDED FAMILY MEMBERS.
