HEGINBOTHAM DIES; LAST RITES SUNDAY Mrs. George B. Heginbotham, well known and highly esteemed Holyoke lady who spent most of her life in this community, passed away early Friday morning at the Phillips County Hospital where she had been a patient one week. She had been in poor health for sometime. Mrs. Heginbotham was 69 years old. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Holyoke Baptist church, with Rev. Alvah C. Lynch officiating. Interment was in Holyoke Memorial Park. Arrangements were in charge of the Lewis Funeral Home. Mrs. Heginbotham's parents were charter members of the local Baptist church and Mrs. Heginbotham became a member of that church at an early age. She was active in church work for many years. In addition to her church activities she was a member of Fidelis club, P.E.O. Sisterhood and Order of the Eastern Star. As Blanche Garland, the daughter of George W. and Arpy (Gillaspey) Garland, Mrs. Heginbotham was born May 8, 1885, at Chariton, Iowa. The family moved to Holyoke in 1888 and she grew to womanhood here, attending the local schools and being graduated with the first senior class of Phillip s County High School in 1906. She taught school in this community for a time after her graduation from high school, later leaving that position to accept a position as clerk at the Golden Rule store. On January 1, 1911 she was united in marriage to George B. Heginbotham. To this union was born one son, Max, who now resides on a ranch south of Holyoke. Surviving Mrs. Heginbotham are her husband; the son, already mentioned; a brother, George F. Garland; two grandchildren, John and Diana Heginbotham; and a number of other relatives and many friends. CARD OF THANKS We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all our neighbors and friends for their assistance and sympathy at the time of the illness and death of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother. We wish to especially thank Dr. Means, Dr. Dille and Dr. Ralston; the PEO Sisterhood; the Baptist Ladies' aid, the blood donor, Mrs. George A. Barker, and those who volunteered to give blood; the nurses and hospital staff; those who sent flowers and cards; and those who visited the hospital.
