Obituary From "Ottumwa Courier," June 16, 1950: Mrs. Blanche Mae Hull, 51-year-old wife of Eugene Hull of 608 West Mechanic street, died today at 10:02 a.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Maxine Nelson, 708 West Mechanic street. The daughter of Fred and Margaret Armstrong, she was born March 31, 1899. Her marriage to Eugene Hull took place July 9, 1943 [sic]. A resident of Ottumwa for the past 39 years, she was a member of the Carpenters auxiliary. Mrs. Hull is survived by one son, Harold Skinner of Ottumwa; two daughters, Mrs. Maxine Nelson and Mrs. Imogene Redmon, both of Ottumwa; one stepson and five stepdaughters; one brother, Fred Armstrong, Jr., of Ottumwa; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Porter and Mrs. Goldie Benedict, both of Ottumwa, and two grandsons. Her parents and three sisters preceded her in death. The body is at the Johnson funeral chapel pending completion of arrangements. "HULL SERVICES," From "Ottumwa Courier," June 17, 1950: Funeral services for Mrs. Blanche Mae Hull, 51, who died at 708 West Mechanic street Friday morning, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Johnson funeral chapel, in charge of the Rev. W.B. Friend of the Pentecostal church of God. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Poncy, William Mosher, William Babb, Bernard Redmon, Walter Heady, and James Chesser.
