Myres (sic) in North Big Bend was the scene of a very pretty double wedding when their daughter Miss Blanche S, Myres (sic) was united in marriage to Mr. Cleo C. Ball of Belleville and their son Guy W. Myres (sic) was united in marriage to Miss Helen I. Ball of Belleville. Lohengrein's (sic) wedding march was played by Miss Jewell Dawson of Sparks, Kans., while the wedding party took their places in front of an arch of pink and blue. The beautiful ring cermony (sic) was read by Rev. Walter Myres (sic) of Troy, Kans., brother of the Myres (sic) young people, while Miss Dawson played softly "Truly I Do". Mendelsohn's Bridal March was played as congratulatons (sic) were extended. Mr. and Mrs. Ball are very promising young people. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Ball of Belleville Mrs. Ball has taught three very successful terms of school in this county. Mr. and Mrs. Myres (sic) are also very highly Inspected and well liked by all their friends. The brides were gowned in silk crepe Mrs. Myres in blue and Mrs. Ball in pink with bridal wreaths and bouquets to match. The pink and blue color scheme was carried out throughout the decorations. After the ceremony a dainty two course dinner was served to the thirty guests. After which the brides and grooms departed to parts unknown for a two day wedding trip after which Mr. and Mrs. Ball will be at home on his fathers farm near Belleville and Mr. and Mrs. Myres (sic) will be at home on the H. M. Sweet farm south of Hardy, Nebr. ==================== The Belleville Telescope (Belleville, KS), Thursday, February 19, 1998; pg. 11 Blanche Salina Ball, daughter of Edwin and Mildred Robb Myers, was born January 14, 1908, at Courtland, Kansas, and died February 9, 1998, at the Balanced Care Nursing Home, Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of 90 years and 26 days. She attended Rosemound Grade School and graduated from Hardy High School in Hardy, Nebraska, and attended Cottner (sic) College in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was a homemaker and a school teacher. She was united in marriage to Cleo Castile Ball on June 2, 1930, and to this union four children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Cleo, an infant son, Marion Leo Ball, and five brothers, Walter, Guy, Boyce, Dale and Eugene. She is survived by a son, Leo Ball of Belleville, Kansas, two daughters, Rosalyn Blackburn of Richland, Missouri, and Betty Blackburn of Lebanon, Missouri, 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, a brother, Max Myers of Sedalia, Missouri, three sisters, Doris Bennett of North Platte, Nebraska, Erma Terrell of Lenexa, Kansas, and Lois Hagerty of St. Joseph, Missouri. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 1998, at the Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart-Surber Memorial Chapel, Belleville, Kansas, with Mr. Rick Blackburn and Rev. Clark Struebing officiating. Interment was made in Chester Cemetery, Chester, Nebraska.
