Description	:	Mrs. Marie Sorensen Passes Away Saturday Mrs. Marie Sorensen, 74 year old Creighton resident, passed away at her home Saturday night. She had been in poor health for a long time, but her condition was considered critical only a short time prior to her death. Bodil Marie Sorensen was born in Alborg, Denmark, July 6, 1862. She passed from this life January 23, 1937, at the age of 74 years, 6 months and 17 days. She grew to young womanhood in Denmark. Read More	Mrs. Marie Sorensen Passes Away Saturday Mrs. Marie Sorensen, 74 year old Creighton resident, passed away at her home Saturday night. She had been in poor health for a long time, but her condition was considered critical only a short time prior to her death. Bodil Marie Sorensen was born in Alborg, Denmark, July 6, 1862. She passed from this life January 23, 1937, at the age of 74 years, 6 months and 17 days. She grew to young womanhood in Denmark. In 1892 while still in Denmark, she was united in marriage to Paul Sorensen, who had spent five years in America and had returned to the old county for her. She came with her husband to this country soon after their marriage. They settled first near Pierce, Nebr., living on a farm there. In 1896 they rented a farm near Creighton and later on they purchased a farm near Verdigre, where they lived until after the death of Mr. Sorensen. Mrs. Sorensen then moved into Creighton where she spent the last eleven years of her life. She was a good and faithful mother. She had been a member of the Methodist church for many years. Her husband and two daughters preceded her in death. Those who mourn her passing are a daughter, Anna Marie and a son, Soren Chris Sorensen, three grandchildren and many friends. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon at 1:15, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Gerrard. Interment was in Greenwood cemetery.
