Bonnie Anderson, daughter of Sigrud and Lillian (Hansen) Anderson was born July 26, 1933, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was born and raised in Sioux Falls, and graduated from Washington High School in 1951. She was united in marriage to Vernus Buchholtz on July 1, 1955, in Sioux Falls. The couple lived in Sioux Falls before moving to Valley Springs in 1978 where she has resided since. Bonnie worked for Prairie Market Grocery for over 20 years before her retirement in 1992. Bonnie and Vernus were longtime members of Faith Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. They always had horses and Bonnie enjoyed taking buggy rides. She was a faithful wife, mother, and grandmother. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafts, puzzles, playing cards and her cats. Until later years, they never missed a parade in Mitchell. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Yo (Gary) Sherman of Salem, SD; sons, Kevin Buchholtz of South Dakota and Herbert (Donna) Wheeler of Vancouver, WA; special grandchild, Billie (Rick) Johnson; grandchildren, Lisa (Greg) Milton, Lori (Dave) Lee, Tami (Dustin) Addy, Michael (Kayla) Sherman, and Laura Sherman; and great grandchildren, Brendan and Nicholas Johnson, Alexis and Zach Milton, and Austin and Cadin Lee; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernus; daughter, Yvette; brother, Wayne Anderson; and sister, Dee (Bob) Gillen. - George Boom Funeral Home
