Description	:	Boyd Kermit Felzien, son of Winifred and Kermit Felzien was born Nov 26, 1942 at Compton, Calif. He passed away Sunday, March 27 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebr., following a sudden illness. As an infant he was baptized in the Christian family. Read More	Boyd Kermit Felzien, son of Winifred and Kermit Felzien was born Nov 26, 1942 at Compton, Calif. He passed away Sunday, March 27 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebr., following a sudden illness. As an infant he was baptized in the Christian family. In 1956 he became a member of Westminister United Presbyterian Church of which he was still a member. In 1946, with his parents, he moved from California to Minden. He he attended the Minden Public Schools, graduating from High School in 1961. He attended the University of Nebraska for a year and a half, and graduated from Lewis Hotel Training School in Washington, D.C. Boyd moved to Toronto, Canada in 1963, working for the Holiday Inn Motel. While there he married Maxine Margaret Hord of Tornoto, on Jan 25, 1964. To this union two sons, Drew and John were born. They moved to Minden in 1966 to join in a farming operation with his father. Boyd was very active in youth projects for the Minden Community. He was a member BPOE 984 of Kearney and presently was president of the Minden Jaycee's. He is survived by his wife, Maxine; two small sons, Drew and John; his parents, Mr and Mrs Kermit Felzien; grandmother, Carolyn Werth; brother, Kent and sister, Joy Phillips, all of Minden; and other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 30, 1977, 2:00 p.m. at the Westminster United Presbyterian Church of Minden, with Rev Joseph Barr officiating. Interment was in the Minden Cemetery. Layton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
