On 21 November 1848 in Delaware, Iowa he married Henrietta Pierce. From his obituary the following information is here given: Mr. Crosier came from Elyria, Lorain, Ohio in 1844, living here over forty years. He was an industrious, honest and intelligent man, and highly esteemed by many Delaware County people. A few years ago he bought a tract of land in Nebraska, and went there to settle his children in homes of their own, remaining with them until his death. He served in the 6th Iowa Cavalry. Having enlisted 22 November 1862 in Co. C, 6th Iowa Cavalry, he was honorably discharged 28 May 1865 at Fort Randall, Dakota. During his years of faithful service in the Union Army, he had suffered years of torture. Much of his service was against the Indians, where great hardships and privations from cold and starvation was the lot of his command. His obituary also stated: "Bradford Crosier comes from a long line of prominent families on both the father and mother's side. The Crosiers are a historical family of prominence, and Bradford was a good citizen and had the confidence and respect of the whole community. His old comrades of the army bore his remains to their last resting place in the St. Edward Cemetery. No better evidence of the regard the whole people had for the deceased could be given than the long line of teams that followed him to his grave. The following information by Dale T. Crosier, grandson of Bradford's brother William, stated that he, "Brad", as he was known, came back in May 1865 with two nice buffalo robes and his rifle. Brad was a great Democrat. He would argue politics by the hour, with his brother, William, who was a staunch Republican; he drank whisky like the rest of the family drank water. The Crosier American Legion Club of St. Edward, Nebraska was named after his grandson Waldo Henry Crosier who was killed in France in WWI.
