EDWARD LAST FRIDAY George Elsworth Crosier Was Resident of Nebraska Since the Year 1883 George Elsworth Crosier, son of Bradford and Henrietta Crosier was born at Delhi, Iowa, June 25, 1866 and died at his home in St. Edward, Nebraska, October 26, 1945, at the age of 79 years, 7 months and one day. Mr. Crosier came to Nebraska in 1883, making the trip by covered wagon from western Iowa, and settled on a farm in Platte county. He was united in marriage to Olive Belle Wright, July 10, 1890. Mr. and Mrs. Crosier lived on the same farm for 43 years and knew all the ups and downs of pioneer life. He served on the school board in his home district for 18 years, having helped to organize the district which is known as the Center school. He was a great lover of music and spent a good part of his time, when not at work, with his violin. George was the last member of the Bradford Crosier family, his parents, three brothers and 2 sisters having preceded him in death. He moved from the farm to St. Edward in March 1937. Besides his wife, he leaves to mourn his passing, two sons, Perry of St. Edward, and Ernest of Arlington, Wash.; three daughters, Iva Moss of Los Angeles, Calif., Ella Force and Esther Paulson of Bremerton, Wash.; twelve grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services were held at the St. Edward Methodist church Tuesday afternoon, Rev. E. S. Pangburn officiating. -------------Albion Weekly News, Thursday Nov. 1, 1945
