Description	:	Bradley Peterson, 56, from Chaska,Mn. formerly of Powers Lake, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the V.A. Hospital in Minneapolis,Mn.after a two and one half year battle with cancer. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday Dec. 19, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Bethel Baptist Church in Powers Lake. Visitation is Monday from nine to service time in the church. Bradley was born on Sept. 21, 1955 in Powers Lake, the second son of Willie and Esther (Jorgenson) Peterson ,a very welcomed and loved child. He was raised and educated at Powers Lake and graduated from high school in 1973. He attended college in Minot, Williston and later Wahpeton where he received his Associate Degree in Computer Technology. He used his computer skills abroad and at home. Bradley served in the military as a Marine. He was trained and stationed at Camp Pendleton near San Diego, Ca. For a time Brad worked as a carpenter helper for Ed Jorgenson and Son Construction and later as an employee for Jorgenson Lumber. Bradley moved to Richfield MN. where he lived with his friend, Kenny Breding. While working for Digital River, a software development company, he decided to further his education by attending DeVry Institute of Technology in Minneapolis. He purchased a home in Chaska MN and continued to live there until his passing. Bradley was a well-liked person who experienced some difficult times. The loss of his mother at an early age, a bad car accident, and a train accident. Bradley and his wife Paula were blessed with twin daughters, Jessica and Jennifer, on April 11, 1984. Bradley was a great father and the girls were the joy of his life. In March 1991 a tragic fire took their lives which was devastating to Bradley and the family. Bradley was an avid reader. Books were a big part of his life and he felt he could go anywhere by reading. World War II was of special interest to him and he could relate most details. He was an avid sports fan. The Twins and Vikings were followed daily and highlights were attending their games. He loved cats and always had a cat or two wherever he lived. Brad enjoyed bowling and attending softball games. He also enjoyed Trivia and had a neat sense of humor. Bradley is survived by his brother Terry(Camille) Peterson of Watford City, ND,, niece Terrille (Todd) Jacobson, grandnephew Trey Jacobson and grand nieceTarynn Jacobson. Companion Elizabeth Johnson and her daughter Cristin and her son Phillip and his daughter Caylee. Step-mother Gudrun Skalicky , stepsisters Coleen (Dean) Lyons, Jill(Ed) Wylot, Debbie (Richard) Terrell, Laurie(Joel) Dihle, and Connie(Norman) Westerness, Aunt Bonnie , Uncle Jim and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Esther, his twin daughters Jessica and Jennifer and his Aunt and Uncle Clarence and Agnes Breding who were an important part of his life.
