Mrs. Brita Clara [Carin] Samuelson was born in Nykil parish, Linkopings lan, Sweden, the 26th of October, 1841. Coming to America in 1869. Read More	Dayton Review December 24, 1914 OBITUARY Another visit. Another of our friends summoned by the call across death's sea, added to the treasures of loved ones gone before. Mrs. Brita Clara [Carin] Samuelson was born in Nykil parish, Linkopings lan, Sweden, the 26th of October, 1841. Coming to America in 1869. She was married to Johannes Samuelson the 18th day of July, 1870. Together, with her family was a member of the Dayton Lutheran Church for a number of years, and the 30th of July, 1893, they joined the Lutheran church at Harcourt, of which she was a member at the time of her death, which occurred at her home in Clay township, Webster county, the 17th day of December, 1914. To her union with Johannes Samuelson were born five children, four sons and one daughter, one son going home before. Her funeral services were held from the Lutheran church Sunday. She is mourned by an aged husband, three sons, one daughter, two sisters and one brother in Sweden, besides a host of relatives and friends. Through her death the husband has lost a faithful helpmate, the children a loving mother. Of late years, the distance and her health has not permitted her to always attend the meetings, still she has been and was among the faithful. She was among those who served the Master and showed to others whom she served in her quiet way, among those whom she quietly called upon. Christ was her life, and she died in the faith of her Savior. She has lain down her pilgrim's staff and the cross of health. The victory is hers and the crown waiting to welcome us all in the land where nothing shall enter to destroy eternal bliss. It was felt by those near that she was unable to speak to them at the last, but the hope of the blessed reunion some day keeps us kindled with hope for the coming day. Her remains were laid to rest in the Dayton cemetery. Peace to her memory.
